We support storytelling across two primary areas: college essays and careers.
College Essay Coaching
Revision Learning’s College Essay Coaching helps students craft authentic, compelling college essays that reflect who they are—not what they think admissions officers want to hear.
Our expert coaches support students at every stage of the writing process, from early brainstorming to final revisions. Rather than editing students’ work, we focus on teaching students how to think, revise, and strengthen their writing so they leave with both a strong essay and stronger writing skills.

Revise with confidence and independence
Coaching is flexible and student-centered. Depending on how a student learns best, support may include written feedback on drafts (asynchronous), live 1:1 coaching sessions, or a combination of both.
Written/Asynchronous Feedback
Written feedback is ideal for students who like to work independently and revise on their own schedule.
Each round of feedback includes:
A visual rubric highlighting what’s working and where to focus next
In-line, question-based comments directly on the draft
A personalized summary with 2–3 specific revision strategies

1:1 Live Coaching
Live coaching sessions are ideal for students who benefit from talking ideas through in real time.
During live sessions, students can:
Brainstorm personal statement or supplemental essay ideas
Review and refine drafts with coach guidance
Ask targeted questions about structure, tone, or impact
Every session is tailored to where the student is in the process and is designed to help them feel clear, supported, and in control of their story.
Career Storytelling Coaching
