Our Story
From Our Founder, Nick
If being a small business owner were a genetic trait, I would’ve inherited it from my dad’s side of the family: my dad is a small business owner, as were both of his parents. After several years working as a teacher and in ed tech, I decided to take the plunge in January 2023 and start a business of my own, Revision Learning. As a first-generation college student passionate about storytelling, writing, and expanding access to opportunity, I wanted to create a company that would make applying to college or navigating the professional world a little easier.
As a former English as a Second Language teacher, I often saw students struggle to express their ideas, whether in discussion or in writing. When asked to analyze an article or respond to current events, many were shy or uncertain. Yet when we began our personal narrative unit, those same students thrived.
What I love about storytelling is that it doesn’t require specialized knowledge or research. A story is rooted in your lived experience — you are the expert. At Revision Learning, we give our students the tools to shape those experiences into powerful, authentic stories that leave an impact.
I am, first and foremost, a teacher, and I bring that perspective to everything we do at Revision Learning. My amazing team and I channel our shared passion for storytelling, writing, and expanding access to opportunity into helping thousands of students of all ages each year. Through our interactive storytelling platform, hands-on workshops, and personalized 1:1 coaching, our goal is simple: to teach people how to tell powerful stories for college admissions and career success.
I chose the name Revision Learning with intentionality. As I tell my students, most people don’t sit down and write masterpieces. They write, and then they rewrite, and then they rewrite again. With each revision, one’s story becomes a bit better, a bit clearer, and a bit more “them.” And, more often than not, it takes time to get the story just right.

Our Mission
At Revision Learning, we empower students to harness the power of storytelling to unlock their potential in college admissions, careers, and beyond. By cultivating creativity, authenticity, and critical thinking, we help them craft narratives that reflect their unique experiences, values, and aspirations. Through this work, we strive to equip people of all ages with the skills and confidence to shape their futures with purpose and impact.
