Our Story

If being a small business owner were a genetic trait, I would’ve inherited it from my dad’s side of the family: my dad is a small business owner, as were both of his parents. After several years as an English as a Second Language and humanities teacher, I transitioned into the world of EdTech and, in January of 2023, started Revision Learning. As a first-generation college student passionate about educational access, I wanted to found a company that would make the college admissions process easier to navigate for students and their families.

My initial vision was for a coaching-type business where I’d work directly with students. My friend, mentor and former boss Dr. Carol Barash helped me to expand that vision so that I’d be able to help more students. By April, I had taken over some of her company’s partnerships with schools. By September, I had formally taken over her company, Story2, including the Moments Method®.

I am, first and foremost, a teacher, and I bring that experience and perspective to all the work we do at Revision Learning. My amazing team and I are able to channel our passion for education, writing and storytelling into helping thousands of students each year. Whether it be through our interactive platform, our hands-on workshops or our personalized essay draft feedback, our goal is simple: to teach students how to write powerful stories for college and career success.

3 SENTENCE STORY | A lifelong love of learning combined with an aptitude for languages led me to my first adult ESL classroom as a senior in high school. While what drew me to teaching was my love of learning, what kept me in teaching was a belief in the transformative power of education. Years later, I continue to equip students with tools to find their voices and tell authentic, compelling stories.
