College Essay Feedback

Expert Revision Learning coaches provide personalized, detailed and actionable feedback on drafts asynchronously to help students take their college essays to the next level!

Revision Learning coaches provide asynchronous feedback on students’ college essay drafts. Students submit their drafts via the Revision Learning platform and within 48 hours, a coach returns the personalized feedback directly to the student.

The feedback consists of three parts:

  • A rubric that assesses submission readiness

  • Students receive an easy-to-follow, custom visual rubric that helps them instantly understand what’s working well in their essay and what needs the most attention.

  • The Revision Learning Success Rubric assesses an essay’s submission readiness based on our five key attributes of college admission essays:

  • Story

  • Moments

  • Structure

  • Details, Dialogue + Description

  • Grammar

I was really worried about my essay, especially because of the topic I was writing [about]. I wasn’t sure how it was going to turn out at all. But with the feedback I got, I became more confident in what I was writing and now I feel much more comfortable in submitting my essay. Thank you!

It is helpful to have the same reader review and critique the essay as it is being revised.

I’m extremely grateful for having the opportunity to have my work reviewed by Revision Learning. It’s unfortunate that not everyone is aware of the greatness Revision has to offer. I can see this being an essential when writing anything even beyond the classroom. Will definitely be sharing this site with my fellow seniors applying to college. Thank You!

My coach had great comments and even offered to personally reach out to him if I was confused about a specific suggestion. His feedback was very personalized and proved that he read my essay in-depth.
